Bye ’19, Hello ’20

Hey everybody, Braeden here! Just wanted to write this post to let you know what’s going on right now. It’s hard to believe that 2019 will be over soon. It’s been an interesting year for me both personally and musically.

I’m particularly excited about the relaunch of the Flathead Fords. Our first few shows will be in January and February of next year. Be sure and check out my Schedule page for more info about when and where we’re gonna be. My Dad and I have been working on our material for this new venture and I’m real excited about what we’ll have to offer. Hopefully by the start of next year, we’ll have some demo recordings out to give you an idea of what all we’re doing.

One thing that has proved a little daunting with this new venture is switching between instruments. As I’ve said before since we’re playing different styles of Acoustic Roots music, I’ve had to work particularly hard on my guitar and banjo playing. It’s been fun, but challenging as those are not my specialties. All that said, I’m really looking forward to bringing this unique concept to different audiences.

On that note, I’m still actively booking show dates for the Flathead Fords and all the other artists I represent. If you’re interested in booking any of us for next year, visit the Booking Info page. Also, if any bluegrass or acoustic musicians in the North TX area are reading this, I’m looking to do some musical freelancing next year. If you need a mandolin player for your next gig or recording session, feel free to get in touch with me. I would love to help you out!

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I look forward to seeing what next year will bring.
