Braeden Paul has loved the sounds of Traditional Bluegrass music for as long as he can remember. As a young boy he heard recordings of many of the music’s pioneers such as Bill Monroe, Jimmy Martin, Flatt & Scruggs, The Stanley Brothers & Melvin Goins just to name a few. What really captivated Braeden more than anything was the raw emotion of the music as well as the intense vocal harmonies & instrumental solos. After playing mandolin & singing harmony with multiple different bands over the past 4 1/2 years, Braeden has decided to step out on his own and return to his true musical roots. Named after Bill Monroe’s classic instrumental, Braeden Paul & Wheel Hoss is able to pay tribute to the forefathers & legends of bluegrass music while putting their own stamp on it with original songs in the traditional bluegrass style. Although the band has been around for just a short period of time, they have already won audiences over at different events such as the Jim Paul Miller Memorial Bluegrass Show in Garland, TX and the Paluxy River Bluegrass Association’s monthly show in Glen Rose, TX. Braeden has also been featured in both The Bluegrass Standard and Plano Magazine. Braeden’s biggest hope is that the band’s music will not only be enjoyed by all who listen, but will cause people to go back and learn about some of the legends that he and Wheel Hoss are honoring through their music.
